El Dorado County CA

El Dorado County borders Sacramento County on the East and extends to South Lake Tahoe.  Although El Dorado County is rural on the side closet to Sacramento County, many newer and custom homes have been built within its hills.  This is one of the best horse country around.

El Dorado is located directly off Highway 50 and is 25 miles east of Downtown Sacramento.  The first gold nugget was discovered in the American River and was the start of the “Gold Rush.”  California history then began.
