Placer County is located on the northern border of Sacramento County with the following towns
All of these towns are within a reasonable distance from Downtown Sacramento with easy access to Intestate 80. Placer County rises to the foothills of the Sierras and many of these towns have scenic views of the Sierras and the hills. The western towns have mild climate while the eastern side in the winter, ofter cold with snow. Much of Folsom Lake is actually located in Placer County.
Sun City has built a large retirement complex in the town of Roseville along with the town of Lincoln. Many high tech firms are along the corridor of Hwy.65 and tourism remains high in the mountains where world class ski resorts flourish in the sierra’s powdery slopes.
Placer County is one of the fastest growing. There is a wide range of housing opportunities from rugged, rural lifestyle either in the forests of the high Sierra or on the many ranches of the rolling foothills not to mention the fast growing number of suburban communities.
Home styles in Placer County range from elegant Victorians in Auburn to the attractive older homes bordering Roseville’s Old Town. Some of the custom homes in the upscale community of Granite Bay have views of Folsom Lake.
Some of the business in Pacer County includes Oracle, Kaiser Permanente, Sutter Roseville Medical Center, Union Pacific Railroad, NEC Electronics, Hewlett-Packard and over 1.1 million square feet of retail in the Galleria at Roseville.
The Sacramento Magazine chose the Winchester Country Club in 2005 as one of their hot new neighborhoods which is locate just nor th of Auburn and has 409 home sites to build custom homes. These folks have about a 45 minute commute to Downtown.
