Greenhaven Homes in Sacramento Known as The Pocket

Greenhaven is often referred to by locals as “The Pocket” which got it’s name from being a community built around the bend in the Sacramento River.  The Sacramento River borders the sides of Greenhaven in all directions, except East side.

Greenhaven is part of Sacramento and has easy access to Interstate 5 directly to Downtown Sacramento, just 10 minutes away.

While driving on Interstate 5 and seeing the water tower with a large US flag flying at the top, that says “‘City of Trees,” look to the west and that marks the neighborhood of Greenhaven, The Pocket, area of homes.

This was a planned community started in 1962 and then expanded in 1970′s and 2000′s with a variety of homes and builders who developed the Pocket-Greenhaven area limiting the amount of commercial real estate.  It is also one of the Sacramento neighborhoods where in my opinion, duplexes outshine any of the other areas.

Riverlake subdivision has a series of gated homes and is bordered by Rush River Drive, Lakefront Drive and Pocket Road.

Truely, one of Sacramento’s gems…  Below are the current homes for sale in Greenhaven/Pocket area of Sacramento.
